Youth Website in the works...

Haha, I finally get to put my computer skills to good use.

Anyway today I was talking to Karyn at lunch ( and yes Ashley you were there, I didn't forget about you.) and on Wednesday she proposed ( mm, proposed is such a lame word, how bout we use, oh I don't know, furnish, I do love furniture) the idea of making a website for the youth, so I sat down in my programming class and got to work making templates for the idea. It's looking interesting so far, but Karyn and I will have to get to together and come up with what to put on the site, and furthermore ( mmm, lets use conjointly instead, now there is a fun word ^_^) you guys, well mostly gals, can forward ideas of what should go on the site.

Oh and there will be a forum on the site, but I have to remember how to do forums, I'm going to have to talk with some people in my class on monday, and get together with Marc-Jon one day, as he and them can help me with that.

Alright back to homework and sleep.

The Sanctimonious Camaraderie

If you know what those two words mean than you must know what I'm going to talk about next.

We live in the most akward and mis-singled world imaginable.

We wake up to a term of equality and yet society still pulls us into the contrast that if we looked as good as the person on that poster sporting those pulchritudinous pair of jeans we will not be mocked by our eonic syndicate thats says one thing but does a total opposite, and that we will be the picture of true transcendence.

If you read John 3: 1-24
You may find that it doesn't matter to God what you look like or how you dress or even how much sin you have, god wants us to except him for whom he is, and that is our savior. After all he did die for our sins, and if we want to except him for whom he is, we have to first be able to except ourselves as who he created us to be.

What society directly opposes the word of God? Why is it that in society these days that a "wuse" is a person who crys when they fall down.

"My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me all day long, "Where is your God?" These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go with the multitude, leading the procession to the house of God, with shouts of joy and thanksgiving among the festive throng."
Psalm 42: 2-4

God wants us to shed tears in front of him, for then we are pouring out to him, and with truth and sincerity in our moment of insecurity. We should no longer cling to this world's ideals but we should pour out to God. Then can we be free from our bonds to society and truely be ready to worship God and enter his kingdom he has prepared for us.

PS. I let up on using too many big words... Karyn have fun reading.

Man school is terrible...

Anyway who was there on Tuesday that night I ranted on about school, should actually read this closely. Cory interrupted my actual point behind this, so I'd be better if you actually read all this.

With that said time for one of my crazy inane rants.

So seriously your reading my blog, and chances are you are, have been, or never will again, go to school.

Seriously anyone who likes school must not be totally there or they are really skipping classes to hang out with their friends. News flash, that doesn't count.

Now don't get me wrong, learning is awesome but there are things about school that just plain suck.

Right now I'm pretty much talking about High school but people in College and university can relate.

Lets list off some things that make school a drag:
  • Lame Teachers, you know the ones that aren't doing their job of actually teaching you. Heck most people hate teachers for the next reason and that is...
  • Homework, I for one don't mind it, but it takes time, hey if I could get out of doing homework, I would. But apparently it helps your progress in school.
  • The collective attitude that what you do now effects your entire life. I mean seriously who has heard their teacher say that if you fail this test you will end up with a bad grade? As we all no bad grades will ruin the rest of our lives for all eternity right? No? Then why does it seem like the entire school makes you think that.

Seriously I have no idea how to run this pointless composing box on this blog, so I'm switching over to HTML mode because I am really comfortable with it.

Oh man I love the

command. Anyway where was I?
Oh yes. We go to school to have it drilled in our heads that this foot in the door is the only chance we will have, and if we screw up now, our whole lives we be screwed. Harsh words, but really thats the plain truth of what we our told from grade 4 till we graduate college. If we don't do well in Grade 10 Math for example, we won't do well in Grade 11 math, and then without Grade 11 math we won't graduate... blah blah blah. Really it's only up to us to commit to passing and doing well, heck I could just plain not try in Math 10 and get a pass and then in Grade 11 get straight A's because I started to care. My point is, how much stress do we face when we go to schools and find out that even though we are giving full effort we find out that "Brent, your not trying hard enough". I got that from my socials teacher in grade 10. He told me I wasn't trying. I got a B. Not trying, heck I worked my butt off for a B, he doesn't know me... I think I'm just frustrated with schools lying to us. That if we screw up in school our whole lives will be ruined.

Heres my point, it doesn't matter what job you have, what grades you get in school, or even if you graduated or not. We are equal in the eyes of god. God loves us for who we are, not how good or bad we do in school. Now if schools taught that in schools, maybe we wouldn't have 80% of the suicide rate in Canada being Highschool kids.

I'm not saying don't try... I saying that this isn't all there is in life. School is just the beginning, remember your still young, and you have a life to do what you want. With that said I'd also like to meation one big important fact. This realm isn't just it. I mean I'd rather spend my time in school helping my friends to know god and end up in heaven then get good grades.

Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.
Proverbs 9:9

We can learn all the knowledge in the world, and still be idiots. Idiots for not choosing God.

The only way we can suceed is with God. I can't be more blunt than that. I don't mean succeed as in have the most money or a nice car, or being the smartest or the fastest or the strongest, or the most beautiful as this world and the society even in our school tells us we have to be. Why do we go to school? Do we learn about God at school now a days? No, we learn so we can go to college, and get a degree so we can get a career. Thats not what the bible tells us is the most important thing to do. I notice more and more that we as christians in this area of work, yes going to school is considered an occupation, decide that we our to busy to listen to what tells us to do. The next time you get home, think about what you do first. Your homework or do you thank god for helping you get through another day at school?

Well...

That was a really mean blog so I will allow you to enjoy my little pic by pic comic I made.

Here is me in Programming Class

Here is me in Socials class

Here is me in Math class

And finally me in Chemistry class

Ps- I update my profile pic and song... incase you were wondering.

What's better TV or the Internet.

You know I was reading some of Maddox's points about how the internet is replacing the Radio really fast.
People can find songs to new artists and not have to listen to some lame DJ talk about his childhood.
Well now the internet is becoming a large media viewing platform as well, not only can you watch shows on the internet, but you can rewatch them, and watch a whole bunch of stuff without annoying commercials.

Here are the Pro's and Con's of the Internet and TV

Televisions Pro's: You can watch cool and interesting shows for a small some of money. You can play video games on a television, as well as watch movies, and even check your email on your TV.

Con's of TV: Starts with a C and ends with a rappy Commercials. Did you know most shows only used to be 8 mins in length? Yes, those were days were you could watch 20 re-runs of some lame black and white retro show. Then some smart pants decide to make shows that were 30 mins in length. Not bad, but now we have shows that barely run 30 mins or even 12 for that matter. I was watching an episode of the Simpson's yesterday and I timed the whole episode, without commercials the time span was 9 mins and 36 seconds. That means in the 30 min time frame I was watching more than 20 mins of commercials. That's a lot of advertising, and subconsciously that can hurt us. Yet people still blame being fat on McDonald's... If anything it's TV. Anyway back to pro's and con's

Pros of Internet: I can view awesome websites, I can watch movies, store pictures, make pictures, make movies, make games, play games, talk with people, make blogs, view blogs, store, and send all of the above, and much much more, for a fee, that is less than cable.

Con's of Internet: Pop-ups. But at least I can make pop-ups go away. Indentity theft, if this ever happens to you, you need to learn how to use a computer. ( Sorry if that is harsh, but seriously, people who decide to give out there information and not want it to be exploited against them, should look up hypocrite in the dictionary).

Now then. Yes the internet is replacing the Television, but all these ad's and ideals being shared over the web can be bad for us as believers.

We may stray from the truth of the matter, and that is

Jesus is number one.

Television maybe getting replaced by the internet, but we can't allow god to be replaced by anything.

-Brent

PS. Dear Karyn if you were offended by the following post, which I hope like you and the rest of the world was, then I won't have to tell you how happy I am that I got excepted to XLR:8 but that I have a delima on hands, because I want to go to that and youth councils. We need to get together and talk, maybe Monday or something. But again I should just email you, because you were offended and aren't reading about how the robot cyber monkeys now control half of aisle 7.

Debt

There are two things girls are good for in my personal opinion

Number one,
They have hair that smells nice ( Well most of them that is)

Number two, which any guy can relate to,
They can easily burn a hole in your wallet.

I seriously need to stop talking people out to lunch... That aside though as soon as I hang out with someone for the day, I spoil them.

The other day I was hanging out with Angel, so I take out 20 dollars for lunch and stuff.

I'm not a guy who really cares about money at all, unless I'm like saving up for something, but then again, if you have money then why not spend it on others before yourself?

So by the end of the day I have spent an average of 15 dollars, I don't mind that wasn't a lot of money, but I decided to go buy someone a gift that I owe them, and that set me back more.

On Saturday I'm hanging with Ashley, I only have like 9 dollars and 50 cents and that is all I'm going to spend tomorrow, I am not taking out more money. If I do that means I'm either

One; I'm being exploited into buying stuff, which is unlikely because I highly doubt Ashleys the sort of person that wants stuff bought for her >.>

Two; I'm being an idiot and buying stuff I don't need.

Anyway but that was my point.

I decided to buy someone a gift, and when I told them about it, they freaked out at me, and were all like you don't owe me a gift.

But if were talking about that, I owe someone a nice gesture if they give me a nice gesture.

If someone gets you a gift for your birthday it is only fair that you return the kindness by getting them one for theirs, right?

You don't have to, but I feel that I want to not be a jerk who receives and not gives.

The same goes for Jesus, if we have received him we should make an effort to give him to others to return the kindness Jesus showed us. This year I'm going to buy Jesus a present, I'm going to make an effort to give him to at least one person before his birthday.

Anyway, a gift to be is like a debt, if you give me a gift, expect to get one back. Yet, if a give someone a gift I really don't care, don't get me one, instead call me a hypocrite.

Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Romans 13:7

PS. Dear Karyn, the smart reader would've stop reading to this point.
Since you are smart you must've stopped reading so there is not point for me to tell you that the gnome problems are settled, and that everyone was worried that you didn't show up at the banquet on Thursday, or that I hope you are ok, and that I update my song in my profile to something you might like to listen to if you are not being attacking by a outraged octopus. I am still frightened about Sunday for I fear that approval of others will not be shown and I will be attacked my the most dissident dolphin that feeds off people who have just been subjugated to disapproval.

Frustration

Man, I QUIT!

Writing a good blog is too hard, I never know what to say!

-Brent
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh? Still reading?
Ok...

Ever had one of those moments where your just so fed up with something because it didn't go the way you expected it to go?

For example, here is what happened to me today.

I woke up at 1pm by the sound of my mother asking me to see if I wanted to be taken to the church to tune the drums, which the previous day, I agreed to with Karyn.

Now first off, I and my human nature to assume things thought, well Karyn will be at the church and I'll be able to tune the drums, and they'll sound all nice, and I'll get the key to the city for all of my hard work, and not have to be attacked by rigorous humanoid reptilian who are repelled by recent reward receivers.

^_^ You hate me don't you? It's because my examples start to make sense and then throw you a curve ball... Frustrated yet? No? Well back the tale then...

So I call the church and get no answer...

um, bad start to my assuming... Not very good.

So I assume they're out to lunch so I call 1/2 hour later, and...
"Hello, blah blah blah, I'm a chump, Corey speaking" Corey mostly answered as he put the phone in one of his hands, I'm assuming his left.
"Yes, I would like to ask that Karyn would be in the building in a straight answer from you after this sentence has reached its end" I said with the most polite manner,
"um, yah" Corey replied in a chump like tone

What to mean and unrealistic? FINE! You chump... >.>

"Ok, I'm going to be stopping by to come tune the drums" I said, in a realistic manner.

So now I get to the church go to the back door, answered by Dave, he is cool and all even though he is a chum.... Cool guy.
So I talk to Karyn and after we treat ourselves to some well deserved cheese to fighting off the hoards of vigorously tall atheists from getting hands on the plate of holy holiness, which they would have used to corrupt aisle 7 in the Safeway downtown if it wasn't for us.

So I go about tuning the drums and decide to put pieces of card board under the heads to stop the echo, they did this but unlike my drums at home, it changed the sound of the drum, and made them too flat, as Corey meationed.

Again not what I expected, I was frustrated because I had just spent four hours of my life tuning the drums to what I had assumed they'd sound like, and in the end they did not live up to that assumption.

So, I'm about to go I call my dad so I can meet him to get a ride home, and I tell him to meet me at the school.

I assumed he was picking up the boys at the high school, so I walked there...

He wasn't at Massey where all the other boys before these ones always were picked up.

Maybe he is near the Pearson office, but due to the fenced area I would have to walk around all of the school to get there, it was 4pm, it was a hot long journey.

By the time I had assumed I would make it there and find him waiting for me, I saw that this part too was fenced off, so once again I made my trip around the school to get back to the parking lot, as I had assumed he went and got something to drink while he was waiting and that's why he wasn't there.

Frustration seemed to build as he wasn't there, so I hiked up 8th avenue towards my house singing to myself to pass the time...

As I was into the second chorus of the song "Run and not get weary..." I trailed off as I heard a honk, now I was almost home, it was my dad, asking me if I wanted a ride. I had assumed I was too early, and he left without me... So I said no, and decided to get the last of my exercise for the day and trought down 8th Ave, in the heat.

When I got home I had assumed I could go to refuge and sit and relax. After I found out my dad picked them up at a different school which name has left me, I sat on the couch, and the boys asked if they could go play tennis.

I assumed this would be fun, and easy since they sucked at tennis, and only had one more friend with them, and he couldn't be too good.

Well I lost, after passing out from either dehydration or heat exhaustion which ever one came first.

We went home, and now it was almost seven but I was hungry and my mom was having a party so I forgot about refuge.

Now I'm here, full from food, and frustrated from my annoying, almost pointless day.

A point to this story?

I'm grumpy and tired, YOU THINK I WANT TO WRITE A POINT!?

The point is, that even when we make the all to common human mistake of assumptions, god is with us, even when they are wrong or right, and he will help us through them, and make us write long interesting blogs to the public about how we assumed people would read this garbage and still enjoy it.

Do not forget for the lord your god is always with you, we may all get frustrated but think how god feels when we do something that he is not proud of... Happy? I surely doubt that...

We need to preserver through are day with the faith that god is there walking with us along are frustratingly long day, and he will give us the strength to make it through the next day, without the fear of another frustratingly long day, and if that happens, then he will

Well... That was my frustrating day, and I'm frustrated because you'll stop reading after...

-Brent

PS. Karyn you and I know the simple minded have already stopped reading, so it is safe for me to enclose this message to you in one of my blogs.

We may have driven off the atheists but now comes the hoards of zombie monkeys looking for the stapler in dave's office, aisle 7 is in grave danger, I'll meet you tomorrow around 1pm again so we can prepare the drums, in what people will think as tuning, but really I have enclosed a sonic charge in the auto tuner in dave's office, once tuned to the frequency of the auto tuner, the drums will emit loud sonic waves which will convince the monkeys they are all peaces of cheese, and will run in terror, because you know that zombies are afraid of cheese.

When life gives you lemons.

I was standing at my computer, yes standing, and then it came from the swamp.... ooo ahh...

Wait what that has to do with my topic? I'll never know.

Life teaches us many things right?

For example history, in theory they say history repeats itself, but to me that means that people didn't learn from their mistake the first time...

Like if life has taught us anything it is to learn from our mistakes.

You fall off a horse, your suppose to get back on, that is what were taught when we fall off a horse apparently, but if you are wise like me, you run away from horses everytime you see one again, because you don't want to make the stupid mistake of getting back on one, because you'll probaly end up getting bucked off again.

But I guess that is the whole thing about mistakes right? You took a risk, and you learned from it either being a success or being a complete utter, being attacked by wild pigmi's because a friend told you to mine in a certain part of South Africa in monkeys blood because the sent wouldn't attract evil mine golems, and though this may be true, pigmi's notice the sent of dead monkey... where was I? Oh yes, failure.

If world war one taught us anything it was not to assinate Arch Bishop Ferdinand.

But what if life was to throw you a curve ball, what if risk came knocking at your door?

What if you happened to stumble upon something that would throw your life into a pile of risks to come, and large mistakes that will be an outcome?

God wants us to have a personal relationship with him, and though you might have just relized this now, he is that risk knocking at your door, but if you take this risk for the rest of your life, the outcome will be great.

Now like any good spokeperson, I'm going to convince you on betting on this horse for the rest of your life.

If you think, well if I have to love god what will I get in return?

But it's simple God loves us no matter what, even if we haven't loved him!

"In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us."
—1 John 4:10

God wants us to know him, he is, has, and always will be knocking at that door, even if we screw up, its us that has to open the door and let him in.

"So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us."
—Acts 17:27

But what if we screw up? What if we make crappy lemonade with the lemons fate has given us?

"We are dead in trespasses and sins."
—Ephesians 2:1

God has already found a way to forgive are sin, allow us to get back up on the horse and try again.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
—John 3:16

So what are you waiting for?
Take the plundge, make some lemonade, and if it sucks try again until you please god, but first we have to get all the tools for making lemonade in order to make good lemonade ( These are the fruits of the spirit).

So if life gives you lemons make lemonade, but life has already given you Jesus, have you started to do something about it.

===================================================================
On a more corny note, I was looking into the whole Blood drive commercial...

"Blood it's in you to give"

So if your already taking the risk you should follow this motto,

"Jesus, he's in you to give"

Umm... oh ya, CHEESE!

A huge mistake!

Ever wake up one day, and forget to put on your pants?

No, just me? Ok... ;_;

The little mistakes we make can come back to haunt us, and effect us later on.

Like a close friend of mine once stated, that the actions we choose to make will have a punishment or reward, as well as a consequence, but it best not be to think they are one and the same.

Punishment, under the "P" section of your dictionary, means an action carried out due to a result of something occurrence. Punishment, basically means something that is done to us after the fact. While as a consequence is more or less, once that something has occurred, it has set in motion a sequence and events that will lead to a reaction.

If you don't clean the dished, a punishment might be, being grounded in your room for a week, or having the King of Prague knocking on your door, and handing you a medal of bravery for standing up to the dragon that is your mother.

A consequence could be, your dishes will be left unclean, and you might have harmful bacteria on them the next time you go to eat, or the mold on the dishes comes to life, and attacks you while your sleeping, then taking its victory unto society, enslaving mankind to do its bidding.

I was talking with sid one day, about how he just got pwn'd in a video game he was playing, he corrected me, by telling me the tale of pown'd, which talks about consequences of our mistakes.

An online game, I forget the name but with the initials S.S. was pretty popular, but the game was being upgraded or bought out, and this was the last time all the players could get ranked, before the game ended.

Sid and Dan played ss, they were pretty good, but these were the elite of ss, so... Well yah...

A guy named Madblood, ranked #1 was in the match as well as a few others, including StrikerBlue, who was always like 2nd-3rd in rankings. Rhino was there too, he is good, but pretty dumb, always giving people a chuckle.

Anyway the game goes on, Sid and Dan are out pretty quick in this Space fighter elimination match if you die 10 times your out.

Madblood has 9 deaths and maybe one kill, he is totally losing, and Sid and Dan are talking in the lobby about the match going on, Rhino joins them after getting killed by StrikerBlue...

Striker who has only died 3 times and killed about 7 people is the fan favorite and everyone thinks he is going to win, there are about 15 people left. Well Madblood just goes insane, wiping everyone off the floor except striker, so its just between those two. Madblood who has dies 9 times and just gotten 14 kills, is now facing StrikerBlue for the title of the best, Striker loses 7 times in a row, each time fairly and justified, that Mad was the better player.

So striker say in the lobby ;_;
Madblood says "Good game"
And rhino goes to type Striker was own'd but instead of o he types P.
Pwn'd, is created but Sid and Dan never let Rhino let go of his mistake, and laughed at him, and pwn'd became famous and is used around the internet to this date as a huge spelling error.

Now the consequence of that spelling error, even though small, grew into a giant mockery of misused spelling... Words like h4x0r, or l33t, or teh n00b.

But as your wondering what my point is, Sin's entrance into this world was a consequence of Eve taking the fruit and eating it, disobeying god, which lead towards Adam eating it, then mankind punishment...

Something small and innocent that looks simple yet delicious, can still make a huge impact.

Don't let Satan trick you into thinking that, its just one time, or everyone else is doing it, or it can't be as bad as this or this sin...

Think before you act, and ask god to work through you, and when you make a mistake, instead of ignoring it and hoping no-one noticed like Rhino hoped for, ask for forgiveness, and maybe the consequence will be less bad.

Now the next time you are asked to mow the lawn, think about obeying your parent, or you could end up in the stomach of a giant two headed Human eating Grass monster's belly.

Forgetfulness

I was sitting at my computer about what I should write about.

I've noticed all I have been talking about was God, instead of me, and what happens to Brent.

But that is really a selfish fact don't you think?

I think at the times I had something to write about, it was god typing through me, and the words came automatically.

But as I was thinking of a topic, things started to click together. I wanted to talk about forgetfulness, and now I know what to say, because it started through god made me type out in the beginning about talking about myself instead of what he wants said through me, so I'll get on with want he wants said.

Yes, it is times we think to ourselves instead of sharing with god, that flawed actions seep through. Remember how I said before about segregation being a tool of Satan. Well exploitation is another, and Satan exploits our weak spot in order to tempt us and make us fall into sin. My mother is distracting my line of thought and short term memory loss is making it lose altogether, so try to fill in anything that god tells you, that I missed.

It is when we stop thinking, talking, and worshipping with God that we fall into Satan's exploits.

Why do we stop though? I stop because most of the time, I well, Forget.

I lose focus of who god is, and what his plan for me is, and then selfishness, which is a weak point of mine, along with no patience ( hence me yelling at my mom, as I'm trying to type this blog), seep through me and instead of good fruit, rotten vile, sin filled, fruit is plucked, and eaten by the hungry.

A hungry man will eat anything even if it is not ripe, and this is why we MUST, bear good fruit.

In order to do so, we must NOT forget.

Deuteronomy 8:11
Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.

We must keep a focus set on god, and what he wants done, or we are lost, strayed sheep from the heard, and easy picking for the wolf lurking, waiting for an easy prey.

Well I think that is it. Short lesson tonight eh?

And I'm going to have a new song in my profile to listen to, one of my favorite bands, Nightwish, a very poetic song writer, who's lyrics correlate with some parts of the bible as well as other sources. Besides, metal with a mix of Opera just sounds good.

Segregation

A big word eh? Your probaly think, segre, who?

To me segregation is another of satanic arsenals to bring down our faith and the strength groups of people have.

Psalm 133

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!

That verse is clearly speaking about the unity of the church but it can applied to the groups of the world that do not believe as well. When we are together we are strong, divided we will fall.

Segregation is the way of splitting apart a group into smaller parts isolating them apart.

The word "Part" appeared there a lot didn't it? But I thought I would meation the fact that part should be meationed, for we are tools of god are we not? When a carpenter works on a project he brings his tool box full of tools, not just one tool, he uses many.

Satan uses the division of segregation to his advantage, with the ideal that were better off doing things ourselves.

Once people become isolated it becomes easier and easier to pick them off.

A sniper does not kill many people in a crowd, only that he picks one target at a time, so that he can successfully get the job done, his gun is not built for groups. It is always more efficient to pick off the animal that strays from the group, because in a pack, gazelle are dangerous to a lion. If you chase two rabbits, you end up losing them both.

So Satan splits people of this world into groups. Not just Christians but everyone. List off stereotypical people in places such as school, the work place, and life. You got your old, young, work-a-holics, lazy people, goths, preps, skaters, stuck up, mellow, full of them selves, pushovers, accommodative, aggressors, and many more. You see how Satan has been able to push us off into groups instead of uniting into one, the body of Christ? Look at the Church, were so full of denominations there are too many to list or even count.

Once were alone, we tend to rely on ourselves or even our groups of friends, instead of god.

By doing this Satan has won.

I was looking at bible gateway for a verse about division, and in the topical ideas section, and there were no results. Obviously god does not want us to talk about division, only unity, or that Satan has won by never brining this to our attention.

Has Satan segregated your life to the point were your isolated from god?

Well that is what god wanted me to say this morning, and there is a HUGE SPIDER ON MY FOOT!
LIKE AHHHHHHH!
ITS HUGE

What fruit we need to bear.

So, I was looking into fruits of the spirit for my bible study last Sunday.

One of the fruits of the spirit is patience, and it is common we know what it means.
Well actually we use the word patience, but can we substitute it with its literal meaning, during my bible study I asked what patience was, and the answers I got surprised me ( Note for Karyn*
Anyway, I suppose by now you looked up patience in the dictionary, its next to procastinate and probaly get around to looking up patience, next to p's whether they be 30 or 300 spots from the word, you still looked it up right?

Anyway, patience to me is perserving through a trial with your sanity intact. That said I would like to note that you notice how the days of today, Satan is trying to get the idel that it is good to get things done fast, and out of your way, to rush everything, and live life to the fullest. The bible says otherwise, it says to wait upon the lord, for he will tell you what to do, and when to do it, and to patient. Don't try to get things done as soon as possible, for you probaly will miss the day to day clues of what god is telling you.

Dave, was talking about this as well, about the ideals of Satan's quick fix to getting rid of patience, and then I was overhearing Karyn's prayer for patience for angel, even though I had no clue what so ever to what it was truely about. Then it hit me. Like a baseball slipping incorrectly out of a pitchers hand across the mound, above the grass, towards the plate, but curving, curving left and up towards the crowd until, smack! In bible study I was losing all patience with the group and there non-listening skills. Several attempts to keep the on track had failed, and when I talked I was constantly interuppted by, "oh look a butterfly!" That never happened, the butterfly i mean, but you get the point. They got the lesson as I calmed down and explained the whole donut paper bag thing, even though I was interrupted during that as well. But I lost my cool, the lesson about how god wanted us to show fruits of the spirit was ruined in my mind due to the fact, I didn't show patience. Then again, god reminded me of my life at home, if you know me, I pratically get into a fight everytime I speak with my mother. There is some quality she has to get me going. So god told me very clearly this week about what fruit he wants me to bear more often.

"I am the vine, you are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5

God wants us to bear fruit, which is not produce fruit, produce and bear are seperate things, produce means make more, while bear means care for and bring into creation. We our the ones that bear gods fruit, it is through us that his fruit is brought onto this realm of exsistance.

What fruit does god want you to bear this week?

Our Commitment.

Wow it has been long since I last wrote a blog.

Nothing happened much although, yesterday I got to go play drums with Karyn and crew, and apparently we are Dave's Followers ( creepy :S ).

That was like err, creepy too playing in front of people, and I now know, I can rest on slow slow songs, because, well I could do beats, but I never know when to be silent during those songs, so it might be better if I was just plain, quiet.

I wanted to stress the point of friendship that has been coming up, and I really enjoyed Karyn's email that I received this morning that continues the talk about friendship. How we are truly the only people that determine whether our relationship with god moves forward or not. For the past week or so, I think mine has been in reverse of me taking a step back from God, and focusing on world things. Whether it be addictions to things, or even fear from talking about what you've done wrong with him, god will always listen, and it is us that have to commit to talking and listening to him.

Maple Story is really fun, but I won't play it all today for two reasons, I was working part on my bible study earlier about the fruits of the spirit, and if someone could point out a verse about how sin is appealing to man and not god it would be great, and I'm going to profile either go for a walk or bike and talk with god, and if I'm biking hopefully I won't crash and get mailed by raccoons. <_< It could happen!

So really I just want people to STOP!

Look at your lives, are you making a commitment to further your relationship with god, or even start one for that matter? Or has Satan been using the worldy lures and have you snared in his hook of deception? I know for me it was number one until a it really just hit me this morning.

Wake up, make some lunch or whatever and have a good conversation with the head cheese upstairs.

And thats all I got to say about them apples.

The Fruits of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22

What are the fruits of the spirit? What do they do, how do you get them and why are they good things to have?
These are questions lots of people have when they look at that verse or are told about the Fruits of the Spirit.

The Fruits of the Spirit is best described as the fruit that is bared through us unto others, as we are the trees of God's garden and he has given us Fruit to seed the earth with the word of god. The Holy Spirit is usually flowing in this fruit and it is us as plants that must bear good fruit, for unspoiled fruit maybe picked up and looked at and a once eaten is consumed and makes the eater sick with the filth that lay inside our fruit. So it is very important that the Fruit we bare is the fruit god wants us to bear. The Fruits of the Spirit is the outward expressions we show to others everyday, or actually it is what they should be. For a gardener that is ready for harvest will be able to tell if the fruit he is harvesting is spoiled or ripe, and what do gardeners do when all the fruit of a tree is spoiled? The pluck out the plant and remove it from the garden. So god wants the fruit we bare everyday, to be love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self control and faithfulness. He doesn't want others to eat spoiled fruit, but only that they eat the ripe fruit of god and the holy spirit implants its seeds into that vessel.

^_^

Now hopefully I'll remember this lesson for Sunday!

Bye for now

This morning, what I'm going to do today, and my thoughts of what god has in store for me.

I woke up like at 12 pm today. This is a nice thing because I got to sleep in and check my email mid day for comments and emails people send when they think I'm not asleep.

So anyway Cheese,

So last night before I went to bed I was praying to god, and he was talking to me and stuff, and either it was a dream or just a vision ( I don't remember if I was awake or not) but god showed me in front of a lot of people at the church moving around standing and speaking through the word of god and saying what he has to say. Either this is what god is going to do, or what he already has in motion. It was pretty cool, and that is what I wish to do in the near future anyway, so god's reassurance was always nice. ^_^

Other than my compulsiveness to keep updating blogs, cause once I get started doing something on the internet I'll keep doing it till I'm bored of it. Lots of online games I still play and make websites for like for example there is this advance chess game I play. Tactics Arena Online, I made a clan in that game and a clan website and still update that. I have lots of websites for stuff, Monster Hunter, me, School Projects, games I've made, Flashes I made, all that stuff and more, but I feel like when I wake up I want to blog. Maybe it's because I can say what I want to say, or maybe it is because I talk about god hear more than anywhere else. A new relative thing next to blogging is a RPG game called Maple Story, and I must admit it is like my favorite game right now. No swearing no violence other than you attacking like snails and stuff, but still a fun game. If your interested in it www.mapleglobal.com, to find out more because it is a fun game and I suggest you try it. You have to sign up an account, and also install the game on your computer but it is fun, something to do to past the time for me right now. But take into account of how much time you spend with things, because your life can be focused around those and off of god. Satan might have not created these games or fun things to do, but he can sure use them to his advantage.

If you feel like your spending too much time away with god, pray to him, and ask him to take away those things for awhile until you make god #1 and those other things fall in place.

My sister is still sick with Mononuclueosis or Mono. I ask for you to pray for her, and her relationship with god, and her work. I'm afraid all this time she has taken off from work will effect her outcome in that future environment. Also pray for it to go away soon instead of like two months :( That would suck don't you think?

I always been just amazed that god can work through anyone and give them the words he wants to be said, even through a 15 year old teenager like me? I mean if he can choose someone like me to do it, how will he do it through you. Prayer and reading the word are probaly your best chances of finding out, and I pray for all of you who are still curious to what god has for in store for you.

With that said I'd also like to say, god has had a plan for us all, and you may think, that he will reveal it to you in his time, but the fact is he already has, you may of missed because you were distracted by the world or your ears were not open.

The armory of God, and my day with Angela.

A Few things to add, lets see where to start today.

Today was not a normal day, nor will anyday in the life that is Brent, but that is just me, but nothing is normally routine in the summer anyway so here I'll start with my sister waking me up at 10:30 am.

I'm going to hang out with Angela, which if you look at my site, you'll see a picture of under this link as well.

Anyway last night I ask my sister to wake me up in the moring 10:30am but this morning I'm having problems sleeping, parents making noise and so forth, but I wake up and take a shower around 10:15am. Go back to bed around 10:30am and put the blanket over my face and just then my sister screams for me to get up and get dressed. The moral of this story, when you ask someone to do something for you, like wake you up cause you might forget, make sure to fulfill your part or you might feel very looped with irony.

So anyway, I wanted to stress a thought. Mike came to refuge tonight, and if you don't know its sort of the youth cell group of worship at my church on tuesdays. After some intense screaming of loudness and Karyn telling me to be quiet and sit :'(, as she is about to sing and start worship, mike annouces that Jeff, or whatever his name is( I'm sorry short term memory loss, and I'm trying to remember and type really fast before it is all gone anyway so bare with me) came to Christ XD! Karyn asks us to pray, and so I'm suppose to end with prayer, as Karyn is praying I see this whole long vision, 20/20 it was so clear, that we as humans are gods "swords". Using the analogy of the whole iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another verse from Proverbs 27:17, I relay an idea that I said on bible study on sunday, that if we sharpen one another we'll become less blunt. God as a mighty powerful, is probaly going to use a sharp sword over a blunt one to bring righteousness to the world, and with a sharp one it will be alot easier for him as well. We have to strive to sharpen one another or we are not true friends of the people around us. Peer pressure and contradictive beliefs of this world are Satan weapons to dull or wear down us as weapons for god, and we need the support of others to sharpen not just ourselves as better tools, but to sharpen are relationships with god. I gave a shorter spew of this analogy in a thought and then prayed over Jef... that guy so he could hear the words god had said for him, and I know that he will walk away with that food in him, and feel stuffed so to speak. ^_^ Only Karyn knows what I'm talking about there.

Now today, that happened and Refuge and James 4 were pretty swell, I suggest you go read James now, and come back and read the rest of my blog, just so you can be like, wow that Blog was sure specific. So my day with Angela was pretty cool, although sort of alot of unfortunate mishaps here and there but it was fun none the less.

First off I picked her up from the summer school at Glenbrook, on McBride Blvd, and took her to her house. Which was quite some distance, she lives on Queens and 8th? Maybe 10th I'm not sure, anywa near the IGN and London Drugs on 10th street is just down that hill from her complex. So she said hi to her sis, dropped off her stuff, and we were off. We didn't have a master plan for the day, so I bought her lunch as I do for most people I'm spending the day with. Tim's was fun, I ate a Turkey Bacon Club plain, because I depise mortal fixins and she had the same with the fixins
+o(

Anyway after that we did stuff like walk to my house and go play tenis for three hours, and when i say play i mean teach her how to play which is like teaching a giraffe how to fly but none the less I learnt lots about Angela that I didn't know and this is all like ^_^

So to wrap things up I said Cheese 15 times at refuge. Tired from reading yet?
